A 19th Century Fine Steel Weymouth Curb Bit - Bit503 saddle 5cm (1")Weight : 184g (6½oz)This steel curb bit is finer or more delicate than modern examples. It has fixed cheeks. The mouthpiece has a low port, stamped "B. C.". One cheek is stamped "Best Steel". The bit has one original curb hook, the other is a nickel replacement.
