Yoroi doshi. Antique Japanese spear. Samurai. sword Be aware some of theA lovely simply mounted yari in a red koshirae. The yoroi dshi is generally an extra thick tanto , but in a number of cases a yari ( spear head ) was used , as in this item . They appeared in the Sengoku period of the 14th and 15th centuries. The yoroi dshi was made for piercing armour and for stabbing while grappling in close quarters. a true antique Samurai item .
