Pidgeot has the following abilities: Drive Off: Once during your turn, you may switch out your opponent's Active Pokmon to the Bench
Thassa, Deep-Dwelling can be replaced by Teleportation Circle, which isnt exactly cheap but its definitely more reasonable
The Quick Ball Trainer card is one such example of one of the best Pokmon cards for competitive play that doesn't cost much at all
Grixis (blue/black/red) Kefka plays into forced discard, and easily draws a ton of cards so that you keep your hand full while your opponents lose everything they have
Appa, for example, is a Restoration Angel with extras, meaning it can be a surprise blocker, attacker, save another creature from removal all as well as providing part of a combo to go infinite
That being said, don't let my personal lack of enthusiasm for this deck deter you
