Description

I shape the socket by drawing out the steel in a fan shape and then rolling it over and forge welding it together

Each handle is hand turned out of ash

It is forged to shape (not cut) and final length is about 10

When you are looking for a space saving idea this is what you need

The mild steel body absorbs impacts without risk of cracking and the high carbon bit takes and holds a razor sharp edge

Horseshoe Hinges, Hand Forged hand_made I shape the socket byI got the idea to make these horseshoe hinges while visiting some historic early 1800s log cabins in the Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. They had these on the doors of the homes and their log out buildings. These hinges I forged out of old horseshoes. They are very strong and will last a long time. I suggest lubricating the action of the hinges with some lard like the old timers would have. Whether you're a horse lover, want some period
